Chess

Class Length: 32 weeks (2 semesters)

Description: Chess is one of the oldest and most beloved games in history. In this class, students will learn the basic mechanics of chess, then gradually learn more advanced tactics and techniques. All the while, students will get the chance to play many practice games with their peers and try new techniques as they are learned. Also discussed will be the etiquette and rules of formal chess play.
