Chess

Description: Chess is one of the oldest and most beloved games in history. In this class, students will learn the basic mechanics of chess, then gradually learn more advanced tactics and techniques. All the while, students will get the chance to play many practice games with their peers and try new techniques as they are learned, practicing critical thinking skills and sportsmanship. Also discussed will be the etiquette and rules of formal chess play.
